I want to convey my heartfelt thanks to Sidra for being the saviour in my German language battle. I am PhD student living in Germany for the last 4 years. I only knew some basic vocabulary. Last year I suddenly needed a B1 certificate for an official work. I was told by language schools that it was not possible in 2 months within their framework. Since I had seen some of Sidra’s YouTube videos, I contacted her as last resort and this turned to be the perfect decision. Sidra is an awesome teacher! She started speaking drills from the very beginning, helping me overcome my hesitation. Her pronunciation of German is remarkable, almost as good as native speakers. She always points out mistakes in pronunciation which is extremely helpful. Lastly she made me practice many letters and mock test papers boosting my confidence. I passed my B1 exam with really good marks… all thanks to her!

I came to Germany in 2013 for Master’s degree. Initially, I struggled with my German language. I found I was not particularly good at learning German in a conventional classroom setting, without an understanding of sentence formation, and use of grammar in speaking. In 2021, I got introduced to DLG and Umer through my wife who was already taking 1-on-1 sessions with him. Already during our introductory call, Umer rightly understood my concerns and weaknesses. He tailored our 1:1 sessions such that we focused on sentence building and applied grammar for practicing the speaking. This really helped to keep my confidence and motivation high, since I could more easily retain the grammar. A unique quality of Umer is that he is very patient and genuinely dedicated to helping students. DLG actively seek feedback from students to improve their methodology and content. Towards the second half of our course, we also prepared for my B1 exam, where I really benefitted from the very well-structured learning material and worksheets, which allowed me to score well in B1 exam. My experience with DLG was transformative. I started with a very basic knowledge, but came out with a much solid foundation in German. I would highly recommend DLG to anyone looking to learn German in a practical, unconventional and effective environment.

I passed my A2 level Deutsch Language in first month of my arrival in Germany.
